Katrin Brause, auch bekannt unter ihrem Künstlernamen Katrin Heichel, wurde 1972 in Leipzig geboren. Sie ist eine deutsche Malerin und Grafikerin und zählt zur jüngeren Generation der Neuen Leipziger Schule.
Brause studierte Malerei und Grafik an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig und schloss ihr Studium 2008 als Meisterschülerin von Neo Rauch ab.
Katrin Brause lebt und arbeitet in Leipzig.
Katrin Brause, also known by her artist name Katrin Heichel, was born in Leipzig in 1972. She is a German painter and graphic artist and belongs to the younger generation of the New Leipzig School.
Brause studied painting and graphic art at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and graduated in 2008 as a master student of Neo Rauch.
