Terry Taylor wurde 1958 in Geelong, Victoria, Australien geboren. Sie studierte zwischen 1977 und 1979 Art & Design am Prahran CAE in Melbourne und absolvierte anschließend ein postgraduales Diplom in Malerei am Victorian College of the Arts.
